A layer is one file: the table it owns and the SQL that fills it. Layers read memory or other layers, and compose into a pipeline inside a ClickHouse database.

  • Reconciliation, not triggers: each pass does only what is due.
  • Provenance and forgetting: every row records its input fingerprint, layer version and model; what disappears from memory disappears from every layer.
